VONOA was founded in 2008 by two longtime IT industry consultants, innovators and entrepreneurs.
Bruce Elsner, President
Bruce Elsner is a senior IT executive and business entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the technology, management and consulting industries. He oversees the sales and finance functions at VONOA.
An accomplished leader with experience in operations, P&L management and revenue generation, Elsner has both built and led several highly successful IT services, IT consulting and telecom organizations. Elsner was one of the founders of AOmega LLC, which was acquired by Neohapsis. Prior to starting AOmega, he served in senior management roles at Savvis, Cable & Wireless and Exodus Communications.
Passionate about technology and its ability to influence and support business strategy, Elsner leverages his extensive experience architecting, building implementing and supervising large networks and complex website infrastructures to deliver innovative solutions and technologies to VONOA clients.
Bruce holds a bachelor’s degree in technical management from DeVry University and is completing his MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Bruce is a member of DeVry Alumni Association, The Technology Executives Club and the Metropolitan Club of Chicago.
James Cermak, Founder
James Cermak is a proven entrepreneur who excels in assembling world-class teams of industry experts. Responsible for defining VONOA’s capability strategy, Cermak oversees solution and product development.
Prior to founding VONOA, he was a founding member of and key contributor to two start-ups: Global Network Solutions (GNS) and AOmega LLC. Both firms matured into successful consulting businesses that were acquired by industry leading companies.
Before setting out to build technology businesses, Cermak worked for several IT and telecom companies including Forte Systems, Global Internet, Cohesive Technologies, Exodus Communications and Cable & Wireless as a technical and security architect.
